The Fisherfield 6 - 3 Day Expedition
Fisher field 6, 3 Day Expedition - Cost - £250pp
( 3 days & 2 nights camp )
The fisherfield is known as the last Great Wilderness of Scotland. A remote and stunning area that will leave you wanting more, no traffic or roads in sight! Spend 3 days hiking and 2 nights wild camping in this surreal location. This is a tough challenge covering a lot of rough terrain and carrying your own gear needed for 3 days and 2 nights. You must have a strong hill fitness, be used to carrying full camping kit whilst hiking and have all of your own camping kit. As a group we will aim to share cook systems and if some prefer can buddy up with tents.
Event itinerary-
Day 1 - The walk in & high camp at Am Briseadh ( bealach between corbett & 1st munro )
Walk in -
Ascent - 1100m
Distance - 14KM
Time - 6/7 hours
The walk in is on a rocky landrover track which takes us into strath na sealga. Depending on conditions and team abilty we will either take in the corbett ( Beinn a Chlaidheimh ) or bypass it and heading straight for the bealach, either way we have a river crossing where we may need to cross without boots. The terrain on either ascents is rough and pretty pathless.
stats above are for taking in the corbett.
Day 2 - Sgurr Ban, Mullach Choire Mhic Fearchair , Beinn Tarsuinn & A’ Mhaighdean.
Ascent - 1170m
Distance - 10KM
Time - 7/9 hours
After packing up camp we would be setting off up our first Munro of the day, With a heavier kit also as we will all need to ensure we are carrying enough water to get to the next water point which isn’t until we reach the ascent of A’ Mhaighdean. ( we will have to come off path to fill up and collect water for evening camp too )
The ground over this day is lots of boulder fields , steep loose ascents & descents, scree paths and pathless rough heathland on the bealachs. Due to the terrain being difficult underfoot and carrying a heavy kit this will massively impact our pace where we will need to keep it steady.
( Depending on how the group feels , we don’t have to ascend A’ Mhaighdean and can camp at the bealach )
Day 3 - Ruadh Stac Mor and walk out
Ascent - 500m
Distance - 19km
Hours 6-8
After packing up camp we will descend down to the next bealach and welcome our final Munro of the fisherfield circuit. Please note this ascent is very steep, loose and requires minor scrambling to reach the summit. We have plenty options for water points on the way out so our packs should feel relatively lighter than day one.
From our final summit we will descend down through a large boulder field and pick up a slight path before descending steeply out the Coire on pathless heathland. Catching the stalkers path which takes us back down to strath na sealga , reaching the strath we have major river to cross before covering more pathless and boggy terrain over the vast valley floor to reach our final river crossing. This river is the most problematic crossing of the expedition and will require care to cross.
Passing shenavall bothy we are now on the home straight. A steep pull out of the glen will test your strength as it slowly after some distance catches back up with the main landrover track you walked in on day one. From the highest point on this path we have the final descent which takes us back down to the starting point.
We would aim to discuss all our kit on the week prior to event. We will share a cook system so we are sharing weight, everyone must bring their own camping and hill kit along with food. If you wish to buddy up with someone on the event and share a tent to save weight too.
We will have a meeting prior to event to chat all of this through.

Distance - 10.5KM
Ascent - 1093M
Time - 7/9 hours
Two of the Black Mount Munros which make for a great day out and some amazing views over Rannoch Moor. Some may wish to use the chair lifts from Glencoe Mountain Resort to help with their ascent but on this event we will be covering all distance on foot.
What the day includes -
We will meet in the car park at Glencoe Mountain Resort, a high level starting point which is always welcomed but this hike still gets your legs and lungs working start away with a steep pull up from the car park to 700m. The gradient eases as we make our way across the hillside to gain the shoulder of Meall a Bhuridh. As we gain height the terrain underfoot becomes rocky and some extra effort is required to pull up the continuous boulder field to reach our summit.
After a well deserved break and bit to eat we will descend down the rocky ridge to the bealach and steeply start to reascend, this section requires minor scrambling. Once on the large plateau of Creise, a massive comparison to our first summit we have a short distance to cover before we reach our second munro of the day.

Distance - 20KM
Time - 9/11 HOURS
Ascent - 1582M
Moderate - ⛰️⛰️
Sgurr Eilde Mor and Binnein Beag are the two Eastern Munros of the Mamores Range. A good amount of effort is required to reach these summit with a hike in from Kinlochleven. Two fine peaks with a good walk in between them, a bit of contrast from the rest of the Mamore range and makes for a big day out on the hills.
What the day includes -
Meeting in the morning we will start our hike from Kinlochleven , a steep start to get the legs going where we hike up through a wooded area, rising above the woodland the views open out above kinlochleven and Loch Leven. After a bit more ascent the path starts to level out for a bit as we make our way towards Sgurr Eilde Mor, with Loch Eilde Mor coming into view too.
Another ascent takes us up to the foot of our first Munro, it may not look much but a traverse around the lochan and a steep pull up the worn scree path adds a little bit more than it looks. Once we have reached the summit we will enjoy a well deserved break and bite to eat. The views from here are stunning with the lochan glistening below!
Retracing our steps and descending back down towards the lochan. This hike isn’t a simple up and down, a good bit of distance lays between these two summits as Binnein Beag stands alone looking rather small with the Grey Corries as its backdrop, The remote position of this hill makes it the hardest summit to reach of its Range. Once again reaching another Lochan at the foot of our Munro we will pull up to the summit of our second Munro , Binnein Beag. After a good break and bite to eat we will retrace our steps back the way we came traversing back over the Coire and pulling up to Coire An Lochain where we will stop for a quick refuel before descending back towards Kinlochleven.
This day is suited for those with previous summer hiking experience and good hill fitness is a must as we will be cover a mixture of rugged and rough terrain.

A steep pull up with no rest bite until we reach the bealach , this warms up the lungs and legs ready for the day ahead. Before our first Munro, Sgurr Na Ciste Duibhe we have a Munro Top to get over and the descent from this requires a steep down scramble/ climb.
Now our first Munro is achieved our next summits come a bit easier, descending and reascending over more rocky terrain to reach Sgurr nan Carnach & Sgurr Fhuaran our second and third Munro.
Descending Sgurr Fhuaran we still have a short ascent to make as we pull up way up the final summit ,Sgurr nan Saighead a Munro tops where we can traverse under the summit to continue on our hike and start to descend off hill and back to the meet point from the morning . A' Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch Choire - SOLD OUT
A’ Chralaig & Mullach Fraoch Choire - £55 per person
Distance - 13KM
Ascent - 5/7 hours
Time - 1150M Moderate - ⛰️⛰️
A day spent hiking in Kintail taking in two Munros. A steep ascent with some lovely ridge walking between to two summits, a great day on the hills surrounded by stunning scenery.
What the day includes -
We will meet in the morning and set off with a short section of the road to walk before branching off and heading straight up hill! This steep ascent certainly gets the legs and lungs set up for the day ahead.
Reaching the shoulder of A Chralaig the gradient starts to ease as we make our way up towards the summit. Reaching the massive summit cairn of our first Munro, a chralaig we can have a well deserved break and bite to eat.
The walk ahead is some lovely broad ridge walking, which winds its way to the bealach and onto Mullach Fraoch Choire. This approach can look intimidating with huge pinnacles of rock sticking out the ground, but not to worry as we will be keeping to the path which winds underneath. Some steep and airy ground in sections but nothing technical.
Reaching our Second Munro, Mullach Fraoch Choire we will hopefully take in the stunning views of Glen Affric and the many more mountains to be hiked!
Retracing our steps down to the bealach we will drop down into Coire Odhar and down to the glen below. This route out is normally a wet one underfoot so some bog hoping may be required! A good few KMs ahead along the Glen to take us back to the start point.
This event is ideal for those with previous hiking experience and good hill fitness.
Meeting location and kit list will be received upon booking.

Ring of Steall - Mamores - £70 per person
4 munros
Distance - 17km
Ascent - 1676m
Hours - 9/ 11 Advanced - ⛰️⛰️⛰️
The Ring of Steall is a real classic mountain route combining the traverse of four Munros with scrambling along narrow, rocky aretes. The route takes in An Gearanach, Stob Choire a Chàirn, Am Bodach and then follows the Devils Ridge to Sgùrr a'Mhaim.
This event is for those with lots of previous hiking experience, good hill fitness and up for a challenge.
What the day includes -
We will meet at 6.30am we will car share down to the end of Glen Nevis and will start our day with a walk into the steall falls. Most cross the wire bridge here but we will be taking a quicker option of a river crossing ( if the water low enough ) from here we have a steep pull up on a good path to the first Munro of the day, An Gearanach. Heading off the summit requires care moving over the steep and rocky terrain.
Dropping down to the Bealach and pushing onto our second summit, Stob Choire a Chairn. After a quick break we will push on again dropping down and reascending up Am Bodach.
Next onto the devils ridge , starting with a grassy arete which leads you to a rocky section which can be troublesome. The bypass will be used if conditions don’t allow. After a short down scramble the technical terrain is behind us.
A final push to reach our fourth and final munro of the day, Sgurr a mhaim.
Looking back around this spectacular circuit and the ground you have covered whilst enjoying a good break and well deserved rest.
A steep descent still awaits us so heading off we will take our time dropping back down to Glen Nevis to retrieve the cars and shuffle the morning drivers back down the Glen.
Please note - we may do route in opposite direction.
This event is for those with a good level of fitness and previous hiking experience as we will be out for the duration of the day.
