                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Join us for the day for a guided winter walk , taking in one of the Glen Feshie Munros, Sgor Gaoith. We will be refreshing your current winter skills throughout the day ensuring you are getting the most out of the event.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     What the day includes -
We will meet at 8.30am and start our walk through the magnificent pinewoods then making our way up to Coire Ruadh and pulling up to the plateau. From here you can see the vast land of the cairngorms and the rolling plateaus of many other munros in the area. A wild area in winter!
                                                                                                                                                                                                                        We will continue to the summit. This hike is an out and back so we will be ascending and descending the same route . Throughout the day we will be brushing up your current winter skills, from using the boot as a tool, transferring from micro spike to crampons and much more.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       You must supply your own B2 Winter boots for this event, you can hire these from the likes of Tiso. If you have micro spikes please bring these to the event.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Helmet , crampons and ice axes are included in the event price. If you have your own winter kit please bring it along with you and we can check that it’s suitable to use.
                                                                                                                                                                                                             You must have strong summer hill fitness to participate in this hikes and previous winter hiking experience.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Please note - snow pack conditions can affect our route choice at times. If this is the case another route will be chosen if possible but we may have to put an alternative hike in place due to safety.
