                                                                                                                                                                                                          Join us for a guided winter hike over the rolling plateaus and vast terrain of the cairngorms. A spectacular place to spend a day winter hiking and visiting Scotland's second highest Mountain, Ben Macdui. Strong summer hill fitness and previous winter experience is a must.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            What the day includes -
We will meet in the Ski centre car park and from there we start our walk.
We have a good bit of ground to cover to reach this Munro with a long and gradual ascent over the vast plateaus of the cairngorms. Depending on conditions we will brush up and refresh skills on ascent and descent. The perfect chance for you to advance your skills whilst bagging a Munro.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          You must supply your own B2 Winter boots for this event, you can hire these from the likes of Tiso. If you have micro spikes please bring these to the event.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Helmet , crampons and ice axes are included in the event price. If you have your own winter kit please bring it along with you and we can check that it’s suitable to use.
You must have strong summer hill fitness and previous winter experience to attend this event.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Please note - snow pack conditions can affect our route choice at times. If this is the case another route will be chosen if possible but we may have to put an alternative hike in place due to safety.
