Avalanche awareness and skills refresher - £75 per person
                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Have you already got winter experience in the mountains but are looking at advancing or brushing up your skill set and gain more confidence to help you on your journey through the Scottish hills ? This 1 day course will help enable competency and confidence in winter conditions.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                            This course will be held in the Aviemore or Lochaber area. Location will be confirmed one week prior to allow for best are with winter conditions.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        What the day includes -
We will meet in the morning at our chosen location , we will spend a part of the morning going over avalanche understanding & awareness from there heading out to the hills to check out the snowpack. There will be lots of discussions and demonstrations throughout the day with a chance to brush up on your winter skills.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  We will be practicing our skills using the ice axe and crampons as we progress through the day. You must have been on a winter skills course with use of crampons and ice axe or have previous winter experience using crampons and ice axe.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          If we have no snow coverage for this event then a mountain skills course will be put in place.
